If you had asked me a few years ago whether I’d ever wear a Franck Muller, I probably would’ve laughed in your face. That’s when you realize the watch world really is a tunnel, you keep discovering and rediscovering new things all the time. Your tastes evolve, trends change too, and I have to admit that for the past several years, yellow gold and diamonds have become recurring criteria in my watch selection. Even though there are a lot of things I still don’t understand about the way the brand is managed, Franck Muller remains an icon in watchmaking. I grew up on hip hop, and in 80% of the music videos back then you’d either see a Jacob & Co or a Franck Muller. And honestly, even at the time, the whole thing already felt way too oversized. What I love is finding those same designs but with proportions that actually feel coherent and elegant. Kind of like a Cartier in a tacky but cool version. Honestly, this watch is an absolute banger. An electric blue guilloché dial, factory diamond setting of course, and a case that has never been polished.
